The game worked fine and picked up the controller with no problems when I launched the game in Rockstar Game Launcher. Now controller gets picked up initially and the game shows PS buttons in the menu but all inputs are ignored and the controller doesn't work. I reinstalled the Rockstar Launcher.

75. Posted January 11, 2020. If it still isn't working, see if the launcher needs to be updated. Check and make sure your drivers are up to date as well. If all else fails, you can uninstall and reinstall the launcher. That might fix it. 1.
If I move the stick or use any of the controller buttons, it'll work as it should, but it'll immediately return to showing the keyboard controls. It's annoying but not a huge inconvenience, except when I forget which button to press for an action.

You can with DS4Windows, you'll just get glitchy button prompts. On mouse and keyboard the reel in option is space. Pressing space + R reels in faster. I have yet to find a XBox controller key that gives you the option to reel in faster. .
