Gameplay[] Hard Truck: 18 Wheels of Steel has very similar gameplay to most other installments of the 18 WoS series, focusing on taking jobs and delivering cargo. The game also features AI traffic, a fatigue simulation, road hazards, weigh stations, a time limit for the jobs and a simple business management simulation, where drivers can be hired and routes set up to make profit. It is with a deep sense of sadness that we announce that has ceased operations as of October 17th, 2017. We have enjoyed serving your gaming needs over these past 22 years and thank each and every one of you for being a part of our journey. Sadly, the changing nature of gaming has seen a change in focus away from cheat codes and text-based game guides, and as such has become less relevant over time. The Community has also ceased operations after 17 years of memories formed, friendships forged, relationships cemented, and connections made. foxgog. Hard Truck: 18 Wheels of Steel have broken weird startup mechanics. Actual in game speedup differ than in trailer - especially for non TOP trucks. And brakes work almost like in NFS:MW (2005) - releasing aclrte lead to immoderately stop if you on low speed.
Ostatnia aktualizacja: 1 sierpnia 2016 "Hard Truck" jest grą ze wszech miar wyjątkową, a jednym z podstawowych wyznaczników jej niestandardowości jest tempo rozgrywki. Nie jest to gra dla młodych, niespokojnych duchem, lecz dla graczy mających już nieco nerwów za sobą i pragnących spokoju. :-) Dlatego pierwszą moją poradą jest zaopatrzenie się w termos herbaty, zapas ziela fajkowego względnie torbę czekoladek i zapomnienie o naglących problemach dnia codziennego. Życie kierowcy tira wprawdzie nie obywa się bez jest stresu, lecz pojawia się on na podobieństwo drzew na Saharze - większość czasu to samotna i nie wymagająca wielkiego zaangażowania jazda. Nie da się wprawdzie zostawić swojej ciężarówki własnemu losowi, gdyż licho nie śpi, a wypadki na drodze są codziennością, lecz drugą rękę należy czymś zająć i pykanie z fajki jest tu jak najbardziej na miejscu. Nie to, żeby w rzeczywistym samochodzie dało się to robić... Druga porada na dobry początek to zaopatrzenie się w ulubioną muzykę w postaci plików wav lub ogg, a następnie skopiowanie ich do podkatalogu gry: game\usr\music\jukebox. Dzięki temu staną się one dostępne z poziomu gry (klawisz J), a nikomu nie muszę chyba tłumaczyć, jak wielkie znaczenie dla każdego kierowcy ma prawidłowy dobór muzyki. Osobiście polecam Moby "In This World" oraz Des'ree "Life". :-) Pliki wav mają tę zaletę, że konwersję do ich formatu można zrobić bez żadnego zachodu, lecz są one duże. Pliki ogg to inna forma (darmowa nawet w zastosowaniach komercyjnych) formatu mp3, lecz należy się zaopatrzyć we właściwe oprogramowanie. Niniejszy poradnik składać się będzie z dwóch części. Pierwsza z nich to podstawowe zagadnienia związane z jazdą, przyjmowaniem zleceń, zdawaniem towaru, robieniem licencji, wynajmowaniem kierowców etc. Druga część to zestaw map. Tak się bowiem składa, że gra nie rozpieszcza gracza pod względem orientacji w terenie i wcześniej czy później pojawia się konieczność wytyczenia tras, którymi jadąc traci się najmniej czasu. O ile poza miastami nie ma tu wielkiego pola do manewru, a i mapa wsparta lokacją z GPS'a sprawdza się wystarczająco, o tyle mnóstwo czasu można stracić błądząc po obwodnicach lub po samych nawet ulicach metropolii. A czas to pieniądz. "Hard Truck" udostępnia trzy mapy na obszarze Stanów Zjednoczonych: wybrzeże zachodnie, środkowy wschód (błędnie nazwany środkowym zachodem) oraz Góry Skaliste. Na każdej z nich gracz operować będzie pomiędzy pięcioma miastami, co daje łączną ich ilość piętnastu. Wybrzeże zachodnie określone jest jako pierwszy stopień trudności. Drogi są tam szerokie i stosunkowo proste a dojazd do miast niekłopotliwy. Na środkowym wschodzie wszystkie miasta poprzedzone są wielkimi ślimakami, które doskonale potrafią zdezorientować najbardziej doświadczonych kierowców, lecz zawarte w niniejszym poradniku mapy z pewnością obniżą ten drugi stopień trudności. Góry Skaliste w samej rzeczy stanowią teren najtrudniejszy, gdyż poruszać się w ich zasięgu przyjdzie po trudnych, wąskich i stromych drogach, przeważnie w padającym śniegu. Odległości między poszczególnymi miastami również są większe niż gdzie indziej. Jest to wszakże bodaj najbardziej interesująca mapa w grze (najmniej ciekawy jest środkowy wschód). Poza tymi zmianami w charakterze dróg i miast, poszczególne poziomy trudności nie są tak bardzo od siebie odległe, by istniała konieczność zaczynania zabawy od najniższego.
